Gonstead Method

We provide chiropractic care with various modalities, but especially the Gonstead Method. We are one of the only chiropractors in the state that offer this highly specialized version of chiropractic care. Doctors trained in the Gonstead Method go through rigorous additional training above and beyond what most chiropractic schools offer. Gonstead methods are focused on more comprehensive assessments of the spine using five main criteria to detect issues:

Visualization

Our chiropractors are experts at detecting subtle changes in posture and movement that indicate problem areas

Instrumentation

Gonstead chiropractors use the Nervoscope, which detects uneven heat distribution along the spine to detect inflammation and nerve pressure changes

Static Palpation

Our Gonstead chiropractors feel the spine in static positions, like a sitting position, to check for muscle tightness and swelling

Motion Palpation

The Gonstead Method focuses on feeling the spine during movement and bending to determine how well the spinal segments are able to move at various angles

X-Rays

We take x-rays to get a full understanding of the overall health of your spine. They are referenced during each adjustment to give you the most effective visit possible.

Our Services

Rapid Release Therapy

Rapid Release Technology (RRT) is a targeted, high-speed vibration therapy.  This technique can be ideal for easing aches and pains and to improve the healing process by breaking up adhesions and scar tissue in the muscles. Scar tissue forms via collagen cells in tissue that is injured. Breaking down scar tissue around the spine is important in the process of restoring mobility and range of motion to the previously injured areas.

When areas of the spine are subluxate, often the muscles may hold tension on both sides of the joint. Rapid Release Technology devices vibrate at a specific frequency that can relax that type of spasm. Getting this type of muscle tension to release could play a large role in increasing the efficacy of the chiropractic adjustment.

Trigger Point Therapy (NIMMO)

NIMMO-Receptor Tonus Technique is a specific muscle therapy also referred to as trigger point therapy. This technique treats myofascial trigger points. NIMMO can be highly effective to release these trigger points, or contraction muscle knots, which can be a common cause of direct and referred pain. This soft-tissue therapy involves applying direct pressure to the trigger points, which allows the muscle to relax and elongate, restoring flexibility and muscle tone.

Erchonia Cold Laser

The Erchonia XLR8 handheld laser uses low-level laser therapy (LLLT) to alter cellular functions and provide noticeable pain relief. Similar to photosynthesis in plants, LLLT has a photochemical effect that naturally reduces oxidative stress and increases the production of ATP so healing can take place. Unlike traditional lasers, this type of cold laser does not burn or damage skin and patients do not feel pain during treatment. This laser technology may be used in conjunction with other methods and treatments that we use. Many patients find relief from conditions such as neck pain, shoulder pain, low back pain, plantar fasciitis, and wrist or hand pain. The Erchonia laser products have 15 FDA market clearances and over 2,500 studies have been performed regarding the efficacy and safety of LLLT for pain relief as well as other related symptoms.

MYK Systems

This groundbreaking technique allows us to find the nerve root causing the issue and then rebalance the nervous system by resetting your individual posture. Myokinesthetic System can be used to restore a loss in range of motion and treats other issues involving muscle and soft tissue. Therapists work with patients, through a posture assessment, to identify which nerve root is creating the issue. Once the nerve root is identified, the therapist can stimulate the associated muscles, allowing the nervous system to re-learn how to send the proper message to the muscles.
